SATURDAY, SEPT 3RD, 2022 AT 11AM – 2PM

In this workshop, students will create their own cyanotype prints using a contact printing method to create photograms. We will use provided flat objects or items you bring with you, that we will expose in the sun. Our results will depend on the intensity of the sun on the day of our workshop.

This alternative photo printing process is over 180 years old, but is enjoying a renewal in interest with more contemporary applications. Students will learn all they need to know to create their own unique cyanotypes using dry and wet methods on paper and fabric. Supplies and materials are included in the fee.

What to bring:
Flat items like pressed leaves, lace, crochet lace, feathers and ribbons of different width. Printing items will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing and old shoes.

You may want to bring a snack since we are working through the lunch hour.
