Artist Statement

I produce 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art using many different materials, however, I consider my paintings to be the personal expression. I paint canvases with layers of washes that I pull imagery out of, much like we do with clouds or ink spots. I paint about the people and things I know, trying to flush out the situations they find themselves in. I use color and form to bring reason to a most beautiful and outrageous world. I paint loss, recovery and mythology of the real world.
