Little Meditations: Elizabeth Foley, Solo Exhibition

Elizabeth Foley is a printmaker whose work is rooted in colorful, abstract imagery created through traditional printmaking techniques such as relief, monoprint, and collagraph. Rather than producing identical editions, she treats her plates as a visual vocabulary, varying the order, orientation, and layering of color to build unique prints that feel spontaneous yet thoughtfully composed — much like a meditation in visual form. Her art often explores balance, energy, and inner calm, using shapes, overlapping transparencies, and vibrant hues to evoke a sense of movement and presence that invites viewers to pause and reflect.

Lots to Say: Cheryl Ulrich-Barnett, Solo Exhibition

About the Exhibition
This exhibition features a series of assemblage works created from a wide range of materials, including ceramics, wood, paint, found objects, and altered elements. Each piece stands on its own while collectively exploring a spectrum of ideas and visual commentary, inviting viewers to engage with the materials’ histories, transformations, and meanings.

About the Artist
Cheryl, a native of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, has always had her hand in the arts. She began her formal training at Herron School of Art and Design in Indianapolis. After two years at Herron, the lure of a larger city and a broader cultural experience brought her to New York City, where she continued her education at The School of Visual Arts. It was there that she earned her BFA in Graphic Design. While residing in New York, she continued to gain experience working in the field of graphic design.

After ten years in the Big Apple, she moved back to her home town. During this time, she rediscovered her passion for ceramic arts. She studied with various resident artists at the Mary Anderson Center for the Arts and taught several classes in hand building while exhibiting her work locally. The art of hand building allows her to express her thoughts and feelings about many topics in a creative way.

Death Doula, Elizabeth Foley Talks about End of Life Planning

Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking talk with Elizabeth Foley, a printmaker whose vibrant, abstract works blur the line between structure and spontaneity.

In this special talk, Foley will move beyond her artistic process to explore themes of end-of-life preparation. Drawing on both her creative practice and personal experience, she brings a compassionate, candid perspective to a subject often left unspoken—shaped by her work as a death doula, where she supports individuals and families through the end-of-life journey.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear directly from the artist about the intersection of art, life, and mortality, and to engage in a meaningful dialogue about how we prepare for—and find peace within—the inevitable.

I Have a Dream Exhibition

"I have a dream..."—with those four words, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. ignited a vision that transcended civil rights to become a universal call for justice, dignity, and hope. Over half a century later, his dream continues to ripple through history, confronting inequality while inspiring generations to imagine new possibilities.

This exhibition seeks work that explores the intersections between collective dreams of freedom and personal dreams of transformation. How do dreams help us process pain, envision justice, or challenge the limits of reality?
